Quick Thoughts: If you aren't aware, I love this series to bits. I've read the first four in September and plan on continuing with books five right about....now. The series is action packed and stars a lady I would never want to cross even on my best day.

I have enjoyed the first three installments in this series. I have enjoyed them so much I've been able to swat away any complaints I had about them. This is the first novel I don't have complaints to swat away. This fourth book is my favorite so far and we finally unravel a lot of the mystery surrounding both Kate and Curren's pasts. There are many more battles to come and more darkness to uncover in Atlanta. However, Kate as a character, finally feels completely fleshed out and fully developed.

As is the trend so far, one I am not complaining about, this book is an emotional roller coaster. I was right there with Kate when she was angry, upset, sad and happy. The authors just pull these emotions out of me and I can't help but feel the same things Kate does as she confronts the supernatural head on. This book is full of explosions both on the battlefield and in the political arena. There will be a lot of repercussions moving forward.

So many amazing things happen in this installment. All i have to say is finally! Finally! So many pieces fall into place in this book and I could not be more pleased. I am a little afraid to start the next book since things are going so well right now, I know they are going to fall apart in half a minute. That can't stop me though. I am on a serious roll with this series!

I admit I was a little worried after Magic Strikes because I loved that book so much. I wondered if the next book could live up to it. I shouldn't have worried because this book continued to keep me glued to the page, laughing, cringing at the danger and violence, and of course smiling.

In this book Kate Daniel's is up to her neck in troubles. Her secret is coming closer to being revealed, there's a new big bad in town and her relationship with Curran is on rocky ground. She wants to protect her friends and her boss doesn't want her to help the shifters.

The action in this book is almost non-stop and the battle scenes are intense! Neither Kate or Curran or invincible and that allows the reader to worry about them and hope that they can overcome all the obstacles. The humor is still there along with great dialogue. This series just keeps getting better and better (just when I think they can't possible top the last book, they do.)

If you haven't started this series, what are you waiting for? It's one I highly recommend and quickly becoming my favorite and I can't wait to see how the battle with Roland ends up.
Magic Bleeds is so far my absolute favorite book in this series. After the way things ended in Magic Strikes, and how this book started, I knew we were in for a ride of our life in this story, and Ilona Andrews did not disappoint!

Kate's secret is known by her best friend Andrea, she's on rocky ground with The Order, she's finally accepted her and Curran and he's messed up pretty bad, and now a new threat is in Atlanta and wreaking havoc everywhere making things difficult for Kate all over again.

What I really liked about this book was that for the longest time Kate has always shoved personal relationships aside, but we see her truly upset about things and how they went down with Curran, and her really clinging to her friendship with Andrea and her odd friendships with Jim and Derek continuing to play interesting factors in this book. I loved seeing Kate become more human and soft, instead of just this big old killer that we've come to know in previous books. She became more human in my eyes in this story and it was the first time I truly felt connected to her character. I felt her heartbreak, her jealously, her anger, and her just wanting to belong.

When everything goes to hell in this book, of course the Pack is there and her and Curran are forced to figure out what happened, and I loved how they resolved their problems. It was fitting for the two of them and absolutely perfect. These two are perfect for one another, if they can stop bickering and threatening each other for more than five minutes! But the bigger problem is the evil that is trying to take over Atlanta and how it relates to Kate. Kate is forced to share her secret with Curran and more people now know who Kate is, and things definitely get interesting and bloody in this book.

I will say I have a feeling this book was a huge setup for the rest of the series, but it was full of punch. This story was beautifully written and had just enough crazy and romance to keep the reader hooked. I couldn't put this one down and can't wait to dive right into the next one to see where this series is going to go next, I can only imagine nowhere good, especially with everything in such an imbalance right now. I usually am not a huge fan of these types of books but this series just has me hooked and I addicted! I highly suggest picking up The Kate Daniels Series if you're looking for something different, or if you're a lover of paranormal/fantasy, it definitely won't disappoint!
